Chi Nei Tsang
"When positive or joyous feelings and attitudes pass through each organ and circulate throughout our whole system, our physical and chemical energies are transformed and balanced," Tarthang Tulku
Chi Nei Tsang (CNT) is a form of bodywork used thousands of years ago in China by Taoist monks to strengthen and purify their bodies on their journey to enlightenment. CNT encompasses massage, breath work and Chi Kung principles to cleanse and purify the internal organs of built up toxins and emotional stresses.
Chi Nei Tsang literally translates to
Chi= energy
Nei= internal
Tsang-=viscera/ internal organs
meaning "working the energy of the internal organs" or "internal organ chi transformation".
CNT addresses all the vital functions of the body- the digestive, respiratory, lymphatic, nervous, endocrine, urinary, reproductive and muscular-skeletal systems as well as the energy meridians.
CNT helps to:
· Flush toxins from the liver, lymph, kidneys, and colon
· Improve digestion and assimilation
· Aid elimination and constipation
· Stimulate the lymphatic and circulatory systems
· Strengthen the immune system
· Release the blocked energy that can manifest as fatigue
· Relieve back, shoulder, and muscle tension
· Improve breathing restrictions
· Increase vitality
· Safely clear unprocessed emotions
CNT and emotions
Each major organ in the body holds energy, which manifests differently according to whether it is in balance or not. For example, the spleen will manifest a sense of peace and harmony when it is in balance, or anxiety and worry when it is not in balance. The liver will manifest feelings of kindness and generosity when in balance, or anger and frustration when not in balance.
Most people don't realize that their unprocessed emotions are stored in the digestive system waiting to be addressed. Poor emotional digestion is a large reason for ill health because emotional blockages prevent good energy flow physically.
