Before attending massage school, I was studying to become a social worker.  My decision to change paths and study to become a massage therapist was based on the fact that the results of helping someone using massage therapy were immediate- massage therapy could make someone feel wonderful within a short time. I realized later that the power of touch went much deeper than the physical body- touch has the ability to facilitate change on the emotional, energetic, and spiritual level as well.

I have been a massage therapist since 1997, completing my training at the Health Enrichment Center in Michigan.  In 1998 I moved to Portland, Oregon to continue my education in the healing arts and have continued my education through The Trauma Relief Services in Metapsychology, The John Upledger Institute for craniosacral therapy, Common Roots for Herbal Medicine, women's health through Wise Earth Ayurveda, Chi Nei Tsang with Kyle Cline and Master Mantak Chia and through working with mentors in the field of flower essence therapy.  I have also studied in Belize with Dr. Rosita Arvigo in the Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy™, advanced pregnancy care (preconception through postpartum), and Maya spiritual healing. Other courses I have completed span from the psoas course with Liz Koch, biomechanical courses with Katy Bowman in whole body alignment and womans physics pelvic floor health, and continuing my education as a Restorative Exercise Specialist through the advanced classes at the Restorative Exercise Institute. I've also completed my training as a Health Foot Practitioner with the Restorative Exercise Institute.  My most recent studies are in Ayurveda medicine through Evergreen Herb Garden and School of Integrative Herbology with Candis Cantin and continuing education in Visceral Manipulation through the Barral Institute.

During my free time I enjoy biking, hiking, making herbal medicine, meditation, Argentine tango dancing, receiving massage, and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
